Over the three-day Conference, we had vigorous discussions on Arizona's SB 1070 law, redistricting, Latino voter attitudes, education and healthcare policies, energy and sustainable communities, and the use of social media for constituency outreach, among others.

We had beautiful weather for NALEO's Eighth Annual Presidential Golf Classic, sponsored by ING and held this year at Denver's City Park Golf Course, named by Golf Digest as The 2009 Best Municipal Golf Course in Colorado.

Hundreds also turned out for the first-ever NALEO 5K Run/Walk and Expo for Healthy Communities at Civic Center Park in beautiful downtown Denver. Sponsored by PepsiCo, Johnson & Johnson, The ServiceMaster Company, AARP, Adventist Health System, Colorado Health Foundation, Denver International Airport, and ING, the event brought many together for a morning of exercise and health screenings, and furthered the NALEO Educational Fund's commitment to educate Latino policymakers and develop their governance skills to address the epidemic of chronic disease and its effects on communities across the country.

It was a privilege to have all of you join us in Denver and we look forward to seeing everyone next year in San Antonio!
