Dynamic Programs that Foster Solutions

The NALEO Annual Conference is unlike any other professional development gathering for elected and appointed officials. It presents a unique opportunity for Latino policymakers to meet with their colleagues from all levels of government to address the challenges and opportunities facing our communities and our nation. With such a concentration of political discourse, the NALEO Annual Conference has become known as a venue for the meaningful exchange of ideas and solutions to today's most pressing policy issues.

The Conference sessions this year will focus on various policy areas, including:

Education
Health
Financial Literacy and Empowerment
Civic and Political Participation
Climate Change
Federal Debt
Comprehensive Immigration Reform

There will be an education policy track designed to follow the curricula of a NALEO Policy Institute, an intensive training and professional development program. Conference attendees may wish to participate in this full Policy Institute or attend sessions in a variety of topics. This year's NALEO Annual Conference includes plenary sessions on the state of the Latino community in the Midwest and our nation’s aging infrastructure. Luncheons will focus on national leadership and will be augmented by sessions focused on governance and political empowerment.

Meaningful Access for Local Officials

The NALEO Annual Conference provides direct access to our nation's top executive and legislative leaders. This is an unparalleled opportunity for attendees. Participants have included the U.S. President, U.S. Vice President, and members of the President's Cabinet, leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, as well as many of our nation's corporate and business leaders.
