Constituency Services The NALEO Educational Fund’s Constituency Services department promotes the governance and policymaking success of Latino elected and appointed officials. Policy, Research, and Advocacy The NALEO Educational Fund’s Policy, Research and Advocacy department seeks to promote policies which further Latino access to the political process, and to provide the public with accurate and relevant information about Latino political engagement and impact.
Civic Education The NALEO Educational Fund’s Harry P. Pachón Civic Education Program seeks to educate, mobilize, and integrate the Latino community in the decision making process in order to strengthen American democracy. We achieve this through our naturalization, civic integration, and voter education and mobilization programs. This Department works at the local community level and empowers Latinos through an initiative consisting of three program components:
Voces del Pueblo The Voces del Pueblo program is born out of a simple mission, to increase the number of eligible Latinos who vote. This simple mission looks beyond traditional attempts to register more eligible Latinos to vote or to simply mobilize those who frequently vote, to continue to do so. The Voces del Pueblo program seeks to create new Latino voters by targeting its efforts on engaging and mobilizing infrequent Latino voters, newly registered voters, and young voters. |
