Join us for the
Redistricting CA Conference

December 15, 2009

Los Angeles Equestrian Center
480 W. Riverside Drive
Burbank, CA 91506

Californians voted to create a new Citizens Redistricting Commission to draw the lines for state districts. The maps drawn by the Commission will help determine whether the Latino community has a fair opportunity to elect the candidates of its choice in state legislative and Board of Equalization elections. It is critical that Latinos have a voice on the Commission that will shape the contours of California’s representative democracy for the next 10 years.

Learn about this new commission, how to help recruit applicants (or apply yourself!), and what we can expect from the new redistricting process. The application process for interested commission applicants opens on December 15 and the deadline for applications is February 12, 2010. This conference will provide you with an opportunity to learn about the application process, the qualifications for Commissioners, and how to prepare the application.

This conference is FREE. Reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
