The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund is honored to invite you to join us for our NALEO Policy Institute on Sustainable Communities, which will take place February 16-18, 2007, at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City Hotel, in Universal City, California.
Join your fellow elected officials from throughout the Southwest United States to discuss how to create sustainable communities in the midst of current economic, housing, and environmental challenges, while facing a growing population. The NALEO Educational Fund invites you to enhance your knowledge of these issues in a forum that promotes the discussion and analysis of state and local policies. The NALEO Institute is an excellent opportunity for Latino elected officials to share model initiatives and best practices on sustainability. A preliminary agenda is available for you to download.
The NALEO Educational Fund provides this Institute at no cost to current NALEO members. NALEO’s annual membership fee is $100. If necessary, the NALEO Educational Fund will provide those members who attend the Institute with air or ground transportation to and from California as well as two hotel nights and meals as part of the Institute.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are interested in attending this NALEO Policy Institute, please fill out and mail or fax the enclosed registration form to our Los Angeles office no later than January 12, 2007. Space is limited.
If you have any questions about the Institute, please contact Ms. Cielo Castro, Director of Constituency Services, by calling (213) 747-7606, ext. 133, or via e-mail at ccastro@naleo.org.
