“1-888-VE-Y-VOTA” is a bilingual toll free national voter information and protection hotline. The hotline provides an invaluable service to voters and also helps to document the real impact of new voting procedures on Latino voters. The hotline serves as a source of information for every aspect of the electoral process, from voter registration to locating voters’ polling location. Additionally, the hotline will also document and monitor voter rights complaints and obstacles to voting encountered by the voters. In collaboration with media partners, Univision Communications Inc., the NALEO Educational Fund every important election cycle launches an outreach campaign targeting the Latino media markets, in the respective elections jurisdiction. Through the use of Public Service Announcements (PSA’s), information about the hotline is disseminated.
