LATINO LEADERS GATHER IN DENVER

DENVER, COLORADO - The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund kicks off its 27th Annual Conference with a press conference on Wednesday, June 23rd at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.

Governor Bill Ritter, Jr., will be among the featured speakers at the press conference, which will include preliminary results of a comprehensive poll of the Latino community in four states, including Colorado.

This year’s conference theme is “Preserving America’s Promise,” and will include sessions on Arizona’s new immigration law, education, energy, healthcare and redistricting.

Featured speakers include U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solís, Colorado Senators Michael Bennett and Mark Udall, and Colorado Representative John Salazar.
