Los Angeles, CA — Over a dozen organizations and volunteers will gather at the NALEO Educational Fund headquarters to undertake an ambitious effort to assist hundreds of eligible legal permanent residents apply for U.S. citizenship before the 69% fee increase takes effect on July 30, 2007. Applicants must postmark their applications by July 28, 2007 to avoid paying the new $675 N-400 fee. Hundreds of last minute applicants are expected to attend the workshop where volunteers will assist in completing the N-400 naturalization form.
