LOS ANGELES, CA - The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) issued the following statement regarding Congressional action on the pending financial recovery legislation:
“With the passage of the recovery package by the Senate, the House of Representatives now has the duty to act and also to improve the legislation to address the needs of all Americans affected by the financial crisis. The speed of the decision is important, the livelihood of many Americans stand in the balance. Stemming the troubles faced by Wall Street is incomplete without simultaneously addressing the growing challenges faced by working families.”
